The Student Finance Board is taking applications for two Freshmen Representatives. Freshmen representatives attend weekly meetings on Wednesdays between 12:30 and 3:30 pm where the board allocates the $1,800,000 Student Activity Fund. The fund is spent to enhance student life. Representatives also serve two unpaid office hours per week, where they assist the E-Board in general office duties. Lastly, representatives serve as liaisons to a specified group of organizations and help them navigate SFB policies and procedures. Please see our election document for more information.
If you would like to learn more about the position, please attend our interest sessions on Wednesday, August 29th and Thursday, August 30th in SSB 223 from 8:00-10:00 pm. With an additional interest session on Friday, August 31st in SSB 130 from 1:00-3:30 pm.
We highly encourage students to apply for the Freshman Representative positions. These positions are great leadership opportunities, and allow you to represent your class, the student body, and develop relationships with administration at The College. In order to submit your application, email the election document along with a resume to SFBoard@tcnj.edu. Applications are due no later than Tuesday, September 11th at 5:00 pm. Interviews will be held on Wednesday, September 12th from 12:30-3:30 pm.
SFB distributes the Student Activity Fee, a fund that undergraduate students pay into as part of tuition. These funds are set aside specifically for the SFB to allocate towards events, concerts, recreation and more.
