February 2024
Hello RSOs!
Welcome back to the new semester! The Student Finance Board and I are excited to welcome you back to campus and are looking forward to the work we will do together.
This semester, we are adapting our office hours to meet your evolving needs. Unlike last semester, our office will now be a space for you to come in, prepare funding requests, and ask questions in real-time! The only catch is that you must schedule a meeting with your liaison! To access your liaison, click here, and to find office hours, click here. Deposit hours for this semester are Mondays, 3:30 pm-4:30 pm, and Wednesdays, 3:30 pm-5:30 pm. All other deposits can be made in the drop box outside our office and you will receive a confirmation within two business days. The same applies to picking up a check unless you coordinate otherwise.
Additionally, I will continue to be a resource to you all to address concerns and solicit feedback! I am flexible in attending e-board meetings or scheduling a time outside of my office hours to meet! Please email me to schedule a time for us to discuss your goals for the rest of the fiscal year!
Lastly, as you all should know, funding is still available to organizations. We would love to see an increase in programming and collaboration between RSOs. Whether the event is $100 or $1,000, we are eager to support your needs! To learn more about what is available to your RSO, stop by, next Wednesday, February 7th, from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm for an open house in our office, BSC214. This is an excellent opportunity for us to connect with you and for you to meet us!
I am looking forward to the strides we will make across campus and connecting with you in the coming weeks!
All the best,
Antigone

Hello everyone,
I hope your finals are off to a great start! I am writing to share some updates as SFB closes out the semester!
I would like to start by thanking everyone for a phenomenal semester! As a whole, we hosted over 150+ SAF-funded events! They ranged from immersive cultural cuisine nights to enriching guest speaker events and even a chess tournament! We are grateful for all the amazing work you have all done throughout the semester and look forward to what is to come!
As we transition into next semester, I want to remind everyone of a few things. As you may or may not know, there have been changes in liaisons. Please click here to see who your new liaison is. We try our best to be mindful with pairings, but if you want to swap, please respond to this email! Formal introductions will come in the spring.
Unlike prior years, SFB will not be operating over winter break. Still, I encourage everyone to start thinking about their programming events for the spring. Our goal is to see more events and increased collaboration between groups. If you have any questions throughout the break, please do not hesitate to reach out to [email protected]! Submissions for spring requests can be made here.
Lastly, all vouchers for this semester are due by Friday, January 5th. That includes vendor and student reimbursements. In an effort to streamline the signatures portion of the request, moving forward, we will ask you to fill out the attached form and submit it with your voucher.
As always, we are here to help! If there is something that you would like to highlight from the semester or an area of improvement you have for SFB, please let us know! We are always looking to evolve and grow alongside you all. Before you know it, guideline review will be here, so now is the chance to provide feedback!
Thank you again for a fantastic semester, and we are counting down the days to Spring 2024! I wish you all a happy and safe break!
With thanks and appreciation,
Antigone Antonakakis

October 2023
Hello everyone!
It is hard to believe that November is just around the corner (literally)! I hope you are doing well and that you feel empowered by all the events our campus community has put forward already. I know that our board has really enjoyed attending SAF-funded events over the past few weeks! I want to provide a few updates as we near the end of the semester (it will be here before you know it).
Fall Funding Requests
As a reminder, organizations are able to submit requests for the entire year. The deadline to submit a request for the Fall Semester is Friday, November 17th. If you hope to have an event in late January/early February, it is recommended that you submit your request by Monday, November 27th. This is to ensure we have enough time to review your request before the end of the semester. We will not operate over Winter Break, so plan accordingly. If you have any questions, now is the time to connect with your liaison!
Opportunities for Collaboration
In the coming weeks, we are looking to connect with the Executive Boards of organizations to find opportunities for collaboration. Whether you have an upcoming legacy event or would like to create a new event, we want to work with YOU! Please respond to this email with your availability for a liaison and me to meet with you to discuss funding opportunities further. In doing so, you will be entered into a marketing raffle!
As always, please feel free to let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. We are really hoping to support more student-led initiatives, so please take advantage of the funds available to your organization. If you have not done so already, follow us on Instagram (@tcnjsfb) for more updates and opportunities. Thank you for all that you do! Happy Halloween!
With sincere gratitude,
Antigone

Dear TCNJ Recognized Student Organizations,
It has been great connecting with many of you over the last few weeks! I am very excited to collaborate with you all, and I am always happy to meet with your organization if the Student Finance Board can be of any help! Now that we are almost a month into the semester, I wanted to share with you some important updates!
Liaison List
In the coming days, you will hear from your assigned liaisons. Please know that we took the time to intentionally pair liaisons. If you are reading this sentence, email me your liaison's name and a fun fact about your organization to be entered into a raffle. Another change this year is that liaisons will be attending events. This will be to audit event success and support student-led initiatives. To find out who your liaison is, click here. Please email me if you do not see your organization's name listed.
New Funding Guidelines and Request Process
We have updated our funding guidelines and funding request process. You can now submit standard and flagship event requests through our website. All submissions must be made using the attached form. You can also find all SAF-funded events on our shared calendar. Please note that funding requests must be made at least three weeks prior to your event.
Open House Dates
We will be hosting two open houses on Wednesday, September 6th, from 4:30 pm-
6:30 pm and Wednesday, September 13th, from 3:30 pm-5:30 pm, both in BSC214. This is an excellent opportunity to meet your liaison and have us answer any of your questions.
The Loop Bus
The long-awaited loop bus is back this week (September 22nd)! Well... sort of! The loop bus could not operate without YOUR help. To sign up for a shift for this semester, please click here. Recognized Student Organizations may sign up to staff the Loop Bus up to two times per semester. Every time club members oversee the Loop Bus on Fridays or Saturdays, the organization will receive $60 in its fundraising account. PLEASE SIGN UP ASAP!!!!! Any cancellations need to be addressed at least two weeks in advance. Please email [email protected] with any questions.
Sustainability & Future Investments
If your organization is in need of office supplies, whether it be pens and pencils or construction paper, you name it, we will (most likely) purchase it! Please reach out to [email protected] to discuss your needs.
We are also interested in making long-term capital equipment purchases. This could be materials for a photo booth or gaming equipment. If you have an idea, let us know! We are always looking to expand our inventory.
Transparency & Financial Dashboard
In an effort to deliver more transparent decisions and support organizations across campus, we have created a new financial dashboard. Please click here. As always, our office is open should you have any questions or concerns. Our website and the RSO canvas also have a lot of helpful resources!
In the coming weeks, you should see some of our board members stopping by SAF-funded events. Additionally, I want to remind you all that term assignments should not be used for events. The purpose of term assignments is for general meetings, which SFB does not fund.
Lastly, I know over the last few months, there have been a lot of changes! Please join us on Friday, September 29th, from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm in BSC224 for a treasurer's clinic. It is highly recommended that at least one representative come to learn more about our new processes! This is also a great way to share feedback on how we can improve! Click here to subscribe to our Google Calendar and learn more about SAF-funded events happening across campus.
I appreciate you all for making our campus flourish, and I look forward to supporting you in the coming months!
With heartfelt appreciation,
Antigone Antonakakis
